Live Philly

The first World Heritage City in the U.S., Philadelphia is a diverse and welcoming destination for international students. The city’s population includes 15.7% foreign-born residents and 24% multilingual individuals, according to the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Immigrant Affairs.

The city’s neighborhoods, from Chinatown to El Centro de Oro, provide rich cultural experiences and vibrant communities, while its walkability (voted ‘Most Walkable City to Visit in the U.S.’ by USA TODAY 10Best) and extensive public transportation network make it easy to get around. And its proximity to other East Coast cities makes it easy to navigate and explore the United States.

Thrive Philly

Thanks to Philadelphia's dynamic and diverse economy, including a robust $68 billion startup ecosystem, graduates have plenty of opportunities to launch their careers. Philadelphia is a leading center for technology, education, and life sciences, and a prominent hub for cell and gene therapy. With significant investments and numerous Fortune 500 companies like Comcast, DuPont, and Campbell’s, the Philadelphia area offers abundant career opportunities and a supportive environment for entrepreneurship.

Also, the city’s affordability compared to other major East Coast locations makes it an attractive option for starting a professional journey.

About the Philadelphia Global Education Hub

The Philadelphia Global Education Hub is a concerted effort by a broad coalition of colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, civic and governmental agencies, all with the shared vision of promoting Philadelphia as a study destination for international students.

The campaign's founding members, many who were once international students themselves, launched this campaign because they wanted to share their love of Philadelphia and the many benefits they received here.

Promotional materials for the Global Education Hub were initiated by a group of advertising students at Temple University who won a competition to develop the creative branding for the campaign.
